Responsible entity and scope
This policy applies to Charter Folio for Android, published for SS UNITHOLDER LIMITED. It covers the app's offline functions and locally stored working state. Effective date: 3 August 2026.
This policy describes the exact offline behaviour of Charter Folio version 1.0.0.
This policy applies to Charter Folio for Android, published for SS UNITHOLDER LIMITED. It covers the app's offline functions and locally stored working state. Effective date: 3 August 2026.
Charter Folio is intended for adult administrators and professionals preparing internal corporate-record references. It is not directed to children and is not a public company registry.
The app provides preparation checklists, meeting prompts, record-index prompts, a reference library and user-created working notes. It does not file documents or provide legal, tax, regulatory or investment advice.
The app does not create an account, contact a server, collect analytics, transmit working notes or send data to the publisher. The publisher cannot see content entered in the app.
Checklist choices, a board note and library position may be stored in private app preferences on the device so the workspace can continue between sessions.
Free-text fields are optional. Users should avoid entering unnecessary personal, financial, legal or confidential information. Any text entered remains under the device user's control.
Charter Folio requests no Internet, location, camera, microphone, contacts, calendar, notification or broad storage permission. A user-requested text export uses Android's system document picker.
There is no registration or login and no server-side account. Account deletion is therefore not applicable.
The app contains no ads, analytics, attribution, tracking, remote configuration or telemetry SDK.
The app does not automatically share, disclose or sell data. A user can choose a destination for a summary export; that destination's practices then apply.
The app contains no embedded web client and performs no background network communication. System export leaves the app only after the user selects a destination.
Local preferences remain until the user resets the workspace, clears app storage or uninstalls the app.
Reset workspace clears Charter Folio preferences. Android backup and device-transfer inclusion are disabled for these preferences. Copies exported by the user must be deleted from their chosen destination separately.
Android app sandboxing helps limit access by other apps. Security also depends on device lock, operating-system updates and user handling. The app does not add a separate encryption password.
The app is designed for adult administrative work. Users must not use it to create profiles about children or store children's personal information.
Prompts are general organisational aids. They do not establish compliance, filing obligations, legal conclusions, tax treatment, financial suitability or investment outcomes. Consult authoritative sources and qualified professionals when needed.
A later release may update this policy when app behaviour changes. Users can decline optional free text, reset local state, avoid export or uninstall at any time.
Privacy enquiries may be sent by post to SS UNITHOLDER LIMITED, IFC 5, St. Helier, JE1 1ST, Jersey. Include the app name Charter Folio and do not send confidential records with an enquiry.
